I'm getting on a plane back to the States at 1:45 in the morning, tomorrow. That's 5:45pm for all you East Coast folks. 29 hours, 40 minutes, 9 hours of layover and 3 flights later I'll be back in Virginia. I've made this trip several times, but I've never had the kind of layovers I've got this time. 6 hours in London...3 hours in Chicago (bang! bang!). It's insane, I tell ya.



Anyway, it'll be nice to be back to Taco Bell and Slurpies. :-) The jet lag is going to sssuuuuuuuck.

Since Daire posted about his mail (not male) exploits, I thought I'd relate a postal anecdote of my own.



My mother mailed a package to me here on the ship on August 26th. After about 6 weeks of waiting, she filed a claim for in the insurance.



Today is Oct 16. I just got the package. Which means now I have MORE shit to pack before I leave here in the next day or so.



I love the US Mail!
